Two large (wall sized) library maps of Yorkshire show interesting features in the Bishop Wilton area:

Greenwoods Library Map of Yorkshire - published in 1817

Bacon's Library Map of Yorkshire - published in 1892

The 1772 parliamentary enclosure award is accompanied by two plans (dated 1769) which show the pre and post enclosure field boundaries (including 1726 voluntary enclosure boundaries). The originals can be consulted at the East Riding of Yorkshire Archives in Beverley. Traced copies are available at the University of Hull Archives.

The 1:2500 Ordnance Survey maps from 1892 are well worth viewing but at £25 each it is a costly business to span the whole of the parish. The majority of the village is encompassed by two maps.
